Experienced Wind Turbine Technician – ENERCON Onshore Installation | Europe

We are looking for skilled and experienced Wind Turbine Technicians to join our team on ENERCON Onshore wind turbine installation projects across Europe.

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out wind turbine installation activities in accordance with technical specifications, project requirements, HSE procedures, and quality standards. Working as part of an international team, you will contribute to the safe and efficient installation of wind turbines while bringing your technical knowledge and practical experience to the project.

About the Role

As an Experienced Wind Turbine Technician, you will play an important role in the installation of ENERCON wind turbines, performing technical tasks throughout the installation process. You will work with turbine components, tools, and equipment while ensuring that all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to the required technical and quality standards.

You will collaborate closely with Team Leaders, other technicians, and site management to complete assigned tasks, resolve technical challenges, and maintain high standards of workmanship. Your previous experience with ENERCON turbines will help you contribute effectively to daily site operations and support the successful delivery of installation projects.

This position involves working on ENERCON Onshore wind turbine installation projects across Europe on a 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation (6/2). It offers the opportunity to work with experienced international teams, gain further exposure to large-scale wind turbine installation, and continue developing your technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform wind turbine installation activities in accordance with ENERCON procedures, technical specifications, and project requirements.

• Participate in the mechanical installation and assembly of wind turbine components.

• Use tools, equipment, and installation accessories safely and correctly.

• Follow technical instructions, installation procedures, and guidance provided by Team Leaders and site management.

• Ensure that installation work meets the required quality standards and is completed according to project schedules.

• Carry out visual inspections and report any technical issues, defects, or deviations from installation requirements.

• Follow all HSE procedures, risk assessments, method statements, and site safety rules.

• Participate in toolbox talks, daily briefings, and other safety-related activities.

• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly and ensure safe working practices throughout all activities.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

• Cooperate effectively with Team Leaders, other technicians, and site management to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Support the handling, positioning, and installation of turbine components in accordance with approved procedures.

• Report equipment issues, damaged tools, unsafe conditions, and potential operational risks to the relevant personnel.

• Complete assigned documentation, checklists, and quality records accurately, where required.

• Support less experienced team members by sharing technical knowledge and good working practices when appropriate.

• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve installation quality, efficiency, and safety.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Proven experience as a Wind Turbine Technician, specifically in onshore wind turbine installation.

• Previous hands-on experience working with ENERCON wind turbines is required.

• Good technical understanding of wind turbine components, installation procedures, tools, and equipment.

• Practical experience in mechanical assembly and wind turbine installation activities.

• Ability to read, understand, and follow technical instructions, drawings, and installation procedures.

• Good understanding of HSE requirements and a strong commitment to safe working practices.

• Ability to identify technical issues, report defects, and follow the correct procedures to resolve problems.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while cooperating effectively with the wider team.

• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from Team Leaders and site management.

• Reliable, responsible, and motivated, with a professional approach to work.

• Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.

• Good English communication skills are required to communicate effectively with the project team.

• Valid GWO certificates and other project-required qualifications must be held before mobilisation, where applicable.

• Legal right to work in the European Union, in accordance with the requirements of the assigned project.

• Willingness to travel and work on projects across Europe.

• Availability to work on a 6/2 rotation: 6 weeks on site followed by 2 weeks off.
